The 29th annual Ocean View Beach Festival heralds the start of another summer season and traditionally attracts locals, newcomers and visitors for a three-day celebration of neighborhood and family. Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Ocean View Beach, Inc., it involves food, musical acts, children’s events, carnival, arts and crafts exhibits, community involvement and much more. The festival also includes activities held on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay.
Directions
Ocean View Beach Park is located at the end of Granby Street at 100 W Ocean View Avenue on the former site of the Ocean View Amusement Park.
From the interstate East or West
Take Interstate 64 and exit at 4th View Street.
Turn Right on Ocean View Avenue and follow the signs to Ocean View Beaches.
The Park is on the left.
From Downtown Norfolk
Take Granby Street traveling towards Wards Corner and Ocean View.
Granby Street ends at the Pretlow Branch Library.
Turn Left onto Ocean View Avenue.

There is NO Festival parking allowed in the Ocean View Shopping Center Lot. Norfolk Police will ticket and tow any vehicle parked illegally. A free and convenient shuttle service is available.

The Ocean View Beach Park - Community Beach Shuttle runs every 15 minutes, starting 1/2 hour before and ending 1/2 hour after the event. Look for the shuttle stop signs at Community Beach and near the east entrance to Ocean View Park. Shuttle sponsored by the City of Norfolk - Transportation provided by Charter Bus Service.
Traffic
W Ocean View Ave will be closed to all vehicular traffic from Granby St to First View St from 9:00 AM Thursday to 3 AM Monday.
Park Rules
We ask that the following rules be observed while attending the festival
No skateboards, bikes or pets allowed.
No alcohol allowed to be brought onto the site.
No glass containers allowed on site.
All coolers will be subject to search by security.
Beer can be purchased ONLY by ticket.
Ticket booths and ID checks are located at either end of the concession midway.
Limit of 2 beers per person per trip in line.
Please drink responsibly.
Help keep our city clean and RECYCLE! Please place empty bottles and cans in on-site recycling containers.
